PRESIDENT
Role Description
- lead the ARTSMH UCL community by ensuring that all departments are functioning properly
- guide your committee team to complete the annual business plan at the beginning of your term (by late April). The outgoing president will provide guidance and support. This annual business plan will be the blueprint for the committee to run ARTSMH until the serving period comes to an end.
- report to ARTSMH advisory members (founding team) monthly on the UCL branch's progress. We would provide support and liaise on behalf of the UCL branch for external opportunities
- keep a good record of the results and feedback for every programme and events ran for evaluation and improvements

Essential Criteria
- Currently enrolled in a psychology/related degree
- Have a deep passion and understanding of art
- Have a deep understanding of current debate in the psychology field
- Have a passion to advocate for better mental health literacy within the UCL community and the wider community
- Have previous leadership experience (minimum 1 year)
Desirable Criteria
- Excellent data management skills
- Have experience leading a student society before
- Have experience devising and executing project proposals/ business plans

TREASURER
Role Description
- manage funds allocated to the UCL branch
- keep a good record of the fund allocation and spending
- provide quarterly financial reports to fellow committee member, advisory members and our supervisor
- guide and advise fellow committee members, officers and members on budget planning and spending
- report to any funding body about our fund allocation when necessary

HEAD OF CONTENT DEPARTMENT
Role Description
- provide guidance for content writers to generate credible engaging articles
- review all articles before publishing them on our website or our social media
- generate content for the ARTSMH website and social media

Essential Criteria
- currently a UCL student
- in-depth understanding of art and psychology literate
- strong awareness of current debate in art and psychology fields, especially mental health-related topics
- previous content creation experience (e.g., writing blog post )
- excellent academic English writing skills
Desirable Criteria
- previous formal publication
- currently a doctoral student (we would consider undergraduate and masters students too if you could ensure that you can commit for the entire academic year while also handling your own workload)
- previous leadership experience

HEAD OF MARKETING DEPARTMENT
Role Description
- provide guidance for marketing officers to generate engaging marketing assets and social media content
- ensure our campaign performances are tracked properly
- review, monitor and analyse marketing data to make informed decisions
- generate engagement on our social media platforms
- communicate with our members regularly via email newsletter and social media posts
- update our website (partially)
- enhance students' awareness of ARTSMH and encourage existing members to actively engage with our activities
- provide quarterly marketing reports to fellow committee member, advisory members and our supervisor

HEAD OF RESEARCH DEPARTMENT
Role Description
- engage the ARTSMH community to be active and interested in psychology and art-based research
- enhance the public and UCL students' mental health literacy
- ensure monthly research updates are carried out by the research team and that information is credible and accurate
- explore student-led or staff-student partnership academic research opportunities for our members

HEAD OF HUMAN RESOURCES & WELFARE DEPARTMENT
Role Description
- recruit volunteers for our programmes and leadership roles (the founding team would be present in all interviews)
- write and publish volunteer role descriptions on relevant platforms
- monitor volunteer performance and safety
- organise training and onboarding for new volunteers
- ensure student volunteers are getting the most out of their leadership role with us while also providing the best support for our members and partnering organisation
- ensure the team is gathering information about external volunteering opportunities for our members monthly
- ensure we are an environment where equality, diversity and inclusion are practised

HEAD OF PROGRAMME DEPARTMENT
Role Description
- devise annual event plan, which constitutes part of the annual business plan (art workshops and talks from professionals)
- host and organise events (including finding speakers, booking rooms, managing event sign-up and gathering feedback from every event *please liaise with the marketing team to promote events)
- review, monitor and analyse event registration data and feedback to make informed decisions
- lead art workshops or guide your officers to carry out creative innovative art sessions
- ensure all events are not stepping over the line *we do not provide art therapies as we are not HCPC registered or clinically trained. We merely utilise art as a medium to create a fun, safe and relaxed environment for them to express and explore their emotions while building friendships (preventative rather than therapeutic)
- provide quarterly event performance reports to fellow committee members, advisory members and our supervisor
